Description
Usage / Mounting hardware
One of the most important aspects we considered when choosing the best solar flood light was the range of applications for the light. This light comes with an adjustable wall mount, so you can install it either on a wall and use it as security light or place it in the ground and use it as landscape light.
Housing / Durability / Waterproofness
The fixture as well as the frame of the solar panel are made from aluminium and have an IP65 rating, which means that it can be installed and left outdoors in any weather conditions all year round. all seams and mounting points have been properly waterproofed, and the light should stand practically any weather conditions.
Brightness
The solar flood light is equipped with 100 LED diodes and outputs a total 50000 lumens of light. Producing 6000K-6500K of bright white light. Of course, you won’t be able to light up a large backyard or field with just a single light, but get multiple of these and you will have a perfectly lit yard or house without adding a penny to your electricity bills. A great deal, isn’t it?
Solar panel and battery
The 100W Solar Flood Light is charged by a 32W polycrystalline solar panel. Polycrystalline solar panels are between the most used ones not only for solar lighting but also for full scale solar systems thanks their high efficiency and good pricing. 32W output power is decent enough to charge its batteries and metal frame will hold it in place nicely.
The battery used in this fixture is a 11.1V 16AH lithium-ion rechargeable battery. lithium-ion batteries do not have the drawbacks of older options such as Ni-Cd or lead acid when compared to lithium batteries. The capacity of the battery is good enough to provide an average of 8-12 hours continuous illumination time with full charge, and if the weather has been especially sunny for few days, you can even expect it to go full 12 hours with a full charge, so this can surely be considered a dusk-to-dawn flood light.
